The Chamber Colorado Springs

Programs & Events

The Military Affairs Division provides many programs through out the year in support of the military and their families, as well as programs that provide an opportunity for the community at large to learn more about the military in the region and to hear from senior leaders.

One of our major activities is the Armed Forces Week Concert and Luncheon.  The US Air Force Academy Band and the Colorado Springs Chorale provide a patriotic concert  at the Pikes Peak Center, followed later in the week by a gala luncheon attended by over 900 at the Broadmoor to honor our top enlisted members of our military.  Community support, through sponsorships and corporate tables, for the luncheon allows the Military Affairs Division to provide nearly 400 free tickets for our enlisted force.

Would you like to hear what’s happening at our bases from their leadership?  Watch for the Military Speakers Luncheons, held two times a year.  These informative luncheons allow for networking as well as providing a glimpse of recent activities at our bases.  Recent speakers included LGEN Findley, Deputy Commander NORAD; Lt Gen Regni, Superintendent, USAF Academy; MG Mixon, Commanding General, Division West, 1st Army; and Maj Gen Steuterman, Chancellor, National Space and Security Institute.

Our Military Family Career Fair attracts over 50 businesses and over 1000 participants (active duty military, reserve, guard, veterans, retirees, and spouses).  If you’re looking to expand your business with quality people you want your business at this event.

Base Orientation Visits give small groups of Military Affairs Council Members a chance for an inside look at our bases.  Visits have been made to Fort Carson, NORAD and USNORTHCOM, Cheyenne Mountain, USAF Academy, 21st Space Wing and the Missile Defense Integrated Operations Center.

Other annual events include the Small Business Outreach Program and the Chamber’s Legislative Action Mission to Washington, DC.
